Matthew Horeczko

Mr. Horeczko has been defending clients charged with criminal offenses for over a decade in both state and federal criminal courts.
Mr. Horeczko is experienced in all types of criminal matters, from misdemeanors to violent felonies. He has successfully tried and defended numerous cases, including matters where his client has faced life in prison. Prior to becoming a defense attorney, Mr. Horeczko worked as a Deputy District Attorney for the County of Los Angeles, prosecuting felonies. He therefore has a unique an invaluable insight into both sides of a criminal matter.
The tenacity Mr. Horeczko brings in his defense of his clients points in part to his background as a collegiate athlete. Mr. Horeczko graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of San Diego where he excelled as a defensive back and captain on the football team. The lessons learned on the football field – teamwork, leadership, tenacity, perseverance, hard work – all translate seamlessly into the work of successfully representing clients in court. Mr. Horeczko went on to attend Southwestern University School of Law where was first a member of and then Chairman of the Interscholastic Trial Advocacy Program.
Mr. Horeczko has been recognized as a Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Star for the years 2005 through 2010. According to publication Law & Politics, Rising Stars are among the best in their profession and are limited to 2.5% of the emerging lawyers in Southern California under the age of 40 or that have been practicing 10 years or less.
